I am truly excited that South Coast Glow is becoming a part of numerous events in the Southern California area. It really shows how we are growing and how word of our services is spreading. Over the past few months, we have spray-tanned clients that were at the 2012 Grammys, on the popular TV show “Pawn Stars”, and competing in the California Open! We are continuing to gain recognition for the GLOW we give out! Thanks to all our clients that wear their Glow proudly and speak highly of our services. We truly appreciate it!

Also, for all you Glow Facebook followers, we are launching our new campaign of Facebook deals!!! We will be posting fabulous deals only available to those who follow us. So, for the Glowers that are on Facebook as much as I am (I obviously need to find another hobby!), take advantage of the deals! Oh and don’t worry, we’ll continue to entertain you with our witty posts and ridiculous spray-tan pictures.

 


To all of you expecting mothers, I am commonly asked (always in a shy manner) if pregnant women really continue to spray-tan throughout the months of growth and change in the body. My answer is “absolutely” - we regularly spray-tan the lucky moms-to-be!!!

I have to admit that, when I was expecting, I struggled with some of the changes I went through, and I looked for things that would help me maintain my confidence and make me feel pretty. Spray-tanning was definitely one of those things that kept me feeling beautiful. From personal experience, I encourage all expecting moms to take time for yourselves and ensure you continue doing things that make this period of time as amazing and wonderful as it was meant to be.

And the great news from a health perspective, for those of you who love spray-tanning and are pregnant, is you can feel comfortable continuing with this part of your beauty regimen.*

*We provide you with protection for your eyes, nose, and ears preventing any unnecessary absorption of the solution. It’s a good idea to run your entire beauty regimen by your doctor so you can both be comfortable with what it includes.

Yep, it’s that time of year again; time to sit back, relax and enjoy your well-deserved vacation. The only thing standing in your way of having the best vacation of your life is that dreaded bathing suit that shows off your pasty, pale legs! Being comfortable with your appearance allows you to enjoy that poolside Mai Tai just a little more.

And, just a reminder, book your spray-tan appointment close to your departure date, allowing you to have great color throughout the duration of your vacation.

Our January special, “Spray Tan for just $25.99 on Mondays and Tuesdays” was a huge success and due to its popularity is back for the month of February! We literally had clients coming out of the woodwork to get their GLOW on for such a great price! These spots fill up fast, so if you are interested in taking advantage of this $25.99 special, book your appointment in advance!!! Keep in mind that you can tan at the beginning of the week and simply use our tan extending lotion to keep your color looking vibrant through the weekend!

And on that note, we will soon have our very own line of South Coast Glow Tan Extending Lotion!!! Having our own product has been of deep interest to us for long time. As a prior client of ours you know our commitment to quality and customer service – our new product line is no exception! We looked long and hard to find the right product and are extremely excited to start our first foray into product sales with this fantastic lotion! The South Coast Glow Tan Extender not only increases the life of your spray tan but aids in a smooth fade. Also, be on the lookout for our next line of product: South Coast Glow Shower Gel, Face Spritz and eventually our very own solution!

There are many reasons that our clients choose to spray tan, but the fastest growing reason is to minimize the risks associated with UV (and natural) tanning. Did you know that Melanoma is a common and serious skin cancer which, if not treated early, is usually fatal? Having fair skin and a tendency to burn, I am a huge advocate of minimizing my exposure to the sun and using sunscreen on a regular basis. This is one of the primary reasons I opened this business. I’ve seen the devastation that skin cancer can bring. So, not only do I lather myself up with sunscreen but both my son and husband get it as well. I probably get on their nerves about it, but there is no way I am allowing the two most important men in my life to be over-exposed to UV rays.

I take these precautions now but as a teenager it was quite a different story. I wish I could go back in time and share the above video with my teen-self, because had I known the dangers of UV tanning, I would have taken better care of my skin. It is important for people to understand the seriousness of exposure to UV radiation, particularly damage caused during their early years.
